Hey! It's me, Makayla.

I am the photographer, designer, wife, and mom to 3. I love all my roles and am thankful for each one.

 

Let's talk about how I became a photographer and graphic designer. I attended Kansas State University where I pursued a fine arts degree in graphic design. While working on my graphic design classes I also took many other fine art courses, one being photography. I absolutely loved that class and credit it to my love of the art of photography (it is an art). I graduated with my design degree and began a career in that field. I still continue to design logos, brochures, and more. However, during my years of designing, I realized I was missing a different creative side to me which is fulfilled in photography. I now offer storytelling family, couple, and motherhood sessions,  As well as branding storytelling sessions for businesses.

Getting more personal, I a married my very supportive husband, Jeremy, in 2010. He is absolutely my BEST FRIEND! He has supported all of my career aspirations and continues to do so. We have been blessed with 3 kids - Paxton, Rilynn, and Hudson. We love seeing their personalities and passions develop and pray that we can raise them to love Jesus, others, and help them pursue their dreams. We live in the country and currently have a small herd of cattle, 4 goats, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 1 fish. We live in SW Kansas and love it here (although I wouldn't cry if we were able to move to a place that was warm year round...ha) We are an outdoorsy family and love to golf, fish, swim, and just generally be outside. Although we do love a good movie night cuddling on the couch.

Now for some fun stuff about me. I love sandwiches, cranberry ice tea, coffee anytime of day, and all things salty! Podcasts are my go to while I am working or cleaning (my faves being true crime). Summer is my favorite season because I love hot weather, but I do love the start of Fall as well! I have a relationship with Jesus and bring that into all parts of my life, business included. If I am not working or chasing kids you can find me outside on a warm day, chilling out watching a show, or reading a good book.
